Neue Serie: Politischer Stadtrundgang in Marburg

Coming back to Marburg I got struck by the amount of posters, stickers, the graffitti and so on that I did not see during my journey. Now I will start a photo serial to show this aspect of the political life in "my" town in the middle of Germany.

"Black red gold" does not feed me

Block G8 - Appeal to block the G8 summit in Germany

Privatisation is theft of public belongings

Prevent the nazi demonstration in Rüsselsheim (near Frankfurt)
One barricade says more than a 1000 words...

Official graffiti wall...

...and an unofficial graffiti wall ;-)

On a cigarette distribution machine:
Capitalism can lead to a slow and painful death

I answer back - Stop everyday sexism

Minimum wage now - No G8: People before profit

A squirrel - a logo of a local activist group

There is enough for everyone

And to conclude let's have a look on this series where the ad of a club called "Rockbar" has been altered:

Socialism is "rockbar" (which means you can rock it)

Anarchism is "rockbar" (which again means you can rock it)

Communism is "rockbar" (which again means you can rock it)

To be continued...

Video from a Jazz Club in Harlem

Here is the first of some music videos from New York.
The guy at the beginning has a really great voice!
(The quality is quite bad, sorry, I recorded it with my mobile...)

Let's face it: smash G8

A short but nice mobilizing video clip from attac Germany for the upcoming G8 summit in Heiligendamm, Germany.

Sorry, only in German...
Main slogan: "Join us - The world needs you!"

Last photos from New York (mainly Central Park)

So liebe Leute,

Here now the promised photos from New York which were mostly taken in or near Central Park during my last day in the United States of America. Enjoy!

Sculptures in front of the Southern entrance of Central Park

No money left, not even for some water...

And I thought tuk-tuks would just exist in Asia...

Baseball in Central Park

"Please do not feed" or: A very modern zoo ;-)

Prices that are way too expensive for me...

...but not for those guys

Musicians in Central Park

A lot of people in Central Park

Typical buildings in Harlem

Rats are everywhere in the subway of NY

Go it? "Push Bush" ;-) Nice idea, isn't it?

Just a "No Parking" sign?

No, it was being improved to "No G8" fitting well to the upcoming G8 summit in Germany in just a few weeks from now.

That was it concerning the photos. If I find the time, I will add some videos of the really nice musicians I could listen to on my last day in New York...
