One of the last Simpsons episodes, "No Loan Again, Naturally", deals with the subprime crises. Homer and Marge's mortgage rate rises so that they are forced to sell their house. Flanders buys the property to help the family and becomes their new landlord. Although Ned does what he can, Homer accuses him of neglecting their unsafe living conditions - on TV, exposing him as the "Evil Ned" - and the new landlord threatens to throw them out. But the Simpsons will fight to stay... Hope you enjoyed this politically relevant and funny episode. Those who are not in North America or who missed the episode can watch it here or on Watch The Simpsons Online.

Trilingual--I'm impressed!
Unfortunately, the site that hosts the video is a conduit for malware. When I visited the site it triggered a popup that launched http://newshopsearch.net which in turn attempted to infect my computer with a virus even though I did not attempt to do anything with the site that popped up. As it is with capitalism and the subprime mortgage, not everything is as it seems. Cheers.
Thanks for the info. I have Firefox with tools for blocking popups and ads, so I don't see the window you have.
