Left turn in El Salvador ?

Talking about justice in the Americas I want to refer to the presidential elections in El Salvador this Sunday. After a long reign of the right a leftist of the Frente Farabundo Martí para la Liberación Nacional , English: Farabundo Marti National Liberation Front, FMLN might be elected. The cadidate of the former guerilla Mauricio Funes was no guerillero and shows himself as a social-democrate in the style of Obama in order to overcome the fear of electing a leftist in a country struck be civil war. So it is not clear how much the society might change even if the FMLN will win the upcoming election, which makes it interesting to follow politics more closely to see if there will be a left turn of some kind.
